Growing up in a big family in country South Australia, family was chaotic and hectic, but it was everything. As I got older, I came to understand that the family unit is essentially the foundation of society, and as such, needs to be nurtured and supported.
When relationships work, it matters. Relationships have power. They influence not just the life of a couple, but everyone around them — their friends, their family, and the community at large.
Prior to shifting into the counselling space, I worked as a social worker. I saw the fall out when relationships dissolved, and the potential that couples had, if only they’d gotten the support they desperately needed. This piqued an interest in me to consider how couples could be supported to love each other better. Not necessarily avoiding the experience of hardship, but developing the skills to navigate hardship together.
In my work, I aim to support couples in exploring their relationship with openness and curiosity. Together, we’ll work to understand underlying patterns, improve communication, and rebuild emotional connection.
I also offer individual therapy, providing a warm space for reflection. My approach is collaborative and compassionate, moving at a pace that feels right for you as we carefully untangle the challenges you’re facing and work toward greater clarity and growth.

Individual counselling is literally designed to help you feel better. In the counselling space, there are no expectations on how you should act, what you should say or how you should feel. This can be a really nice change from day-to-day life. It’s a place where you can bring all those things that have been weighing down your heart, express them, and then figure out what to do with them. Do you decide they’re not serving you and choose to not pay them any mind? Are there things that you need to change within yourself to manage them better? Or perhaps there are other possibilities that you need to consider. Individual counselling is driven by your goals and aspirations. It’s not magic — it takes work, but ultimately, the end goal is for you to see improvements in your overall well-being.

You’re coming to couples counselling because you feel like making an effort to improve your relationship is worth it. You might be stuck in constant conflict, experiencing dysfunctional patterns of communication, or just generally in a relationship that could be more fulfilling. Couples counselling gives you the space to try and unpack what’s going on without things being too heated, letting you hear and be heard. Drawing on evidence-based research, couples counselling at Coral and Pearls gives you practical tools to help you strengthen and deepen your bond. Couples counselling is designed to help you design a couple culture that feels aligned with your values and needs.

The Relationship Checkup is a new offering at Coral and Pearls as of March 2026. It’s the perfect opportunity to check in with your partner about how your relationship is going. Life gets busy and it can be hard to give your relationship the attention it needs. The Relationship Checkup gives you 90 focused minutes to consider your relationship’s past, present and future, and identify next steps. Similar to taking your car in for a regular service, The Relationship Checkup can be a yearly gift for your relationship to make sure things are running smoothly and you’re working towards your collective goals in ways that feel meaningful for you both.
